ADNAN OKTAR: If you notice, people are also in a panic, saying that Hazrat Mahdi (as) will not come and that Islam will not rule the world. Islam will absolutely, certainly rule the world affluently and will protect the unitary integrity of Turkey. In addition, Turkey will be the leader in the region and maintain its laic system. Our nation is free, and our irreligious brothers are free to say they have no religion, may Allah forbid, with no repercussions. Muslims will stand up, alhamdulillah, and say they are Muslims, freely and out loud. Nobody will interfere with anyone else. People will cover or uncover their heads as they choose, they will totally be at liberty. Nobody will condemn anyone else, because there is freedom within religion. Religion gives us liberty and freedom. Look, Almighty Allah says “He [the Messenger] will relieve them of the heavy chains which were around them.” The Prophet (saas) says those heavy chains that bind us will be broken by the religion of Allah. Almighty Allah says the Qur’an will do that. It does not bring chains, it rather lifts those that are already there. That is the attribute of the religion, it brings us democracy, freedom and libertation. Oppression paralyzes the human soul and destroys people’s creativity in arts and compilation. For example, I was watching the television the other day. It was showing old buildings in Europe and those old paintings in them. But they cannot produce them again, they can only film and copy them. They take photographs and put out those on display. Why is that? Because they have lost their artistic powers. Why? Allah has taken the love within them as they have no love for Him. As love disappears, so does art, science and everything else. People have no more power to do anything. They cannot produce paintings or buildings or architecture or anything similar to that. Look, with the exception of the indecent ones, there used to be a kind of nobility and dignity even in Turkish films.
Why is that? Because they were the last of the Ottomans and they had preserved its spiritual aspects. There then followed a wide-ranging breakdown followed with degeneration, and they are now no longer able to produce anything. There are no more artists or actors or anything. Art is finished. But I am talking of the whole world here, not for only Turkey. Those old buildings, those old churches for instance, were really glorious, weren’t they? Of course we must remove those parts belonging to ignorance, I definitely reject those. But those parts that reflect the truth are gloriously artistic. Why? Because they produced them with love of Allah. Can they build mosques like those of Sultanahmet (Blue Mosque) or Beyazid today? Could they build another Nur-u Osmaniye? They can only make imitations, using concrete techniques and all that. But there is no beauteous aspect that pleases the soul any more. Isn’t that right? But all these things and more will return in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as). Many times over. Our Prophet (saas) says Islam will rule the world as in the time of the Prophet Sulayman (as) and Dhul-Qarnayn (as). That will be a dominion never seen.
