ADNAN OKTAR: Someone says that I said all Christians and Jews will go to heaven. How can I know this? Is he crazy? Would I say such a thing? I don’t know even about myself, how would I know whether someone will go to heaven or hell? Only Allah knows that.
PRESENTER: Besides you made no such statement. We are talking here face to face.
ADNAN OKTAR: Now would I say this to a Jew, or let me say to a Christian, that he will certainly go to hell? Allah may show that person the right way. He may get to know the Qur’an and understand it. I say that every sincere person will go to heaven. That’s what Allah says. There is verse to that effect in the Qur’an. I take refuge from satan, only My sincere slaves will be successful. He says that only My sincere slaves will be saved. I am only quoting what Allah says, only My sincere slaves.
What would a sincere Jew do? He would understand that Qur’an is the truth and he would submit to it. He would live by the values of the Qur’an. What would a sincere Christian do? He would look at the Qur’an and if he’s sincere, he would understand that it is the truth and he would abide by it. So what does this mean? A sincere person sees the truth. But maybe sometimes there are periods of interregnum.
For instance, he could not reach to Qur’an, bu he’s a Christian. But he believes in one God just like Qur’an tells so and he performs his prayers -since the prayer exists also in the Bible-, and he fasts and is observant about halals and harams. I can not say that this person goes to hell. He is from the interregnum period. It might be that Allah takes him into his heaven. The same is true for the Jew, that is, he does not know about the Qur’an, but he firmly believes in the Torah. He believes in the existence of Allah, the oneness of Allah, heaven and hell and His angels. These are the issues explained in the Qur’an anyway. He performs his daily prayers, -praying exists in the Torah also-, he performs his ablution. I can not say that this person goes to hell. I can say only Allah knows. We hope he goes to heaven. But I can not say that he goes to hell 100%. I don’t know what will happen at his last breath. Isn’t this true? Almighty God may encounter him with Qur’an at his last minutes. He may show him the Qur’an, but even if He does not show him the Qur’an, he is of the interregnum period.
For instance, when our Prophet (saas) came there was no Qur’an. God forbid, had he died before he was bestowed prophethood would he go to hell? No he would not. He would not because he was living upon the remnant of the religion of Prophet Ibrahim (as). It was a time of interregnum and he would be of that period. Since religion and Qur’an did not reach him, insha’Allah he would be saved.
For example, Qur’an comes later. But there were people who did not reach the Qur’an, the ones who lived abiding by the remnant of the religion of Prophet Ibrahim (as). These are people who will be saved insha’Allah. We hope this from the Almighty God. We hope that they go to heaven. Had this be the situation for our Prophet (saas), he would go to heaven by the leave of Allah insha’Allah. Since he abided by the remnant of the religion of Prophet Ibrahim (as). That is the reason why we can not say that Christians will surely go to hell or Jews will most certainly go to hell. Isn’t that so? If a person is living complying with the values of the Qur’an, according to general core of the Qur’an and if he is of the interregnum period, we hope that this person goes to heaven. That’s how I know.
